Our Magnificent Obsession... Having fun by being creative is the reason people like us get started in whatever the hobby-of-the-month happens to be. We stay with something until we learn the terminology, solve the mysteries and become proficient enough to win a prize at the county fair. Then we are off again on the scenic route through Artsy Crafty Land looking for another project. That is, until we make our first porcelain doll. Without realizing what is happening we become, well, the word is obsessed. You just painted your first head and it's darling, but now that you know what you're doing the next one will be perfect and so on and so on. At last we have discovered a real challenge that can be whatever we want it to be - a little one if you are easily satisfied, or a great big life-size hum-dinger of a challenge if you are a perfectionist. The products on this site will be of great benefit to both types of doll makers, but the perfectionist will appreciate them more.
